Many of us have been told that we need a purpose to be happy and live a meaningful life as our purpose provides clarity, focus and motivation.
However, the fixation with finding our purpose can have the opposite effect
There are people all over the world walking around looking for their purpose. The problem is they don’t know what they are looking for, imaging trying to find something, when you don’t know what that something is. It’s Impossible.
So, they walk around in a state of desperation as if they are fundamentally flawed in some way because they don’t know what they are looking for.
Our purpose is not lost, It is not something you need to search for, it comes from within, so if you are unsure or have no clue Stop Searching and practice being a better version of yourself and it will eventually be revealed.
Some people have one overarching purpose, but if you are anything like me, you probably have many, and these purposes change as you grow and develop new interests and passions.
I believe purpose is a by-product of being your true self. We are all unique. We all have amazing skills, talents and attributes we also have some dark shows and unwelcomed thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are uniquely our own.
Being our true self is the starting point for living with purpose. That means claiming all the bits you like about yourself and the bits we don’t like. It is from this place you can love, learn, grow and excel in your relationships, carers, business, sport, health, spirituality, wealth, hobbies and matters of the heart.
When you love being who you are, there is no need to look for your purpose, your purpose will find you.
